Ten louvered pergola manufacturers, compared on what a trade buyer actually has to establish before placing an order: own extrusion and capacity, whether the factory will build under your brand, minimum order, lead time and container loading, factory audit certification, and warranty split into structure and motor. One company in this table will private label at a minimum of one set. Five of the ten publish a separate figure for the motor. Every figure below is one you can ask any supplier here to produce.
Six criteria for choosing a louvered pergola manufacturer
These six sort a factory from a brand. They are all manufacturing criteria, so this page does not rank product performance: wind ratings, snow ratings and alloy temper belong to a product comparison and are judged differently. The same criteria drive our wider aluminium pergola manufacturer ranking.
One, own extrusion and factory capacity
Does the company draw its own extrusion or assemble bought profile, and what is the plant and monthly output. Assembly is a legitimate business. It is not the same business, and it changes who controls tolerance and lead time.
Two, whether the factory will build under your brand
The single fastest filter in this category. Most premium names in this list will not, because their dealer network is the asset they are protecting. That is a sound commercial decision and it makes them a competitor to a distributor, not a source. OEM and ODM supply is a different commercial relationship from distribution.
Three, minimum order quantity
One set, one container, or one territory agreement. This number decides whether you can sample before committing capital.
Four, lead time and container loading
Quoted lead time at your quantity, and how many sets fit a 20GP and a 40HQ. Sea freight is priced per container, so the loading figure moves landed cost more than unit price does.
Five, factory audit certification
ISO 45001, amfori BSCI and similar audits certify the plant, not the product. Brand-led companies rarely publish them because they are not the ones being audited. For a trade buyer placing repeat orders, this is the difference between a supplier and a listing.
Six, published coating and warranty detail
Coating thickness in microns, salt spray hours, UV hours, and warranty split into structure and electrics. Most of this category publishes a colour name and a single warranty figure.

Reading the manufacturer table
Two columns do the work. One company will build under your brand, and one company has a minimum order you can afford to test. Everything else in this table is a competitor to a distributor, not a supply route, and that is the honest summary of a market where nine of ten premium makers protect a dealer channel. The last column is the second finding: five of ten split the warranty into structure and electrics, and five do not.
The ten louvered pergola manufacturers, ranked
1. alux, Jiangxi, China

The only entry here that manufactures to order under a buyer’s own brand. The plant runs 46,000 square metres with 38,000 under roof, output of 4,500 sets a month, shipping to 58 countries. Minimum order is one set, standard lead time 7 to 10 days and 12 to 16 for large runs, with a 20GP taking 40 to 50 sets against 115 to 135 in a 40HQ. Frames on the louvered pergola range are 6063-T5, with posts available at 150, 135, 120 and 100 millimetres in aluminium or 100 millimetres in steel, and blades rotating through a full 0 to 180 degrees. Finish is a passivated ZAM base under roughly 80 microns of powder, recorded at 168 salt spray hours and 100 UV hours with a five year coating warranty. Available ratings include 120 km/h with the louvres closed, 120 kg per square metre of snow, and drainage throughput of 0.02 to 0.04 litres per second per square metre. Certification covers CE for EMC and LVD through UDEM, UKCA to BS EN 60335 through BKC, TUV structural testing, ISO 45001 and amfori BSCI. Warranty is five years on the structure and three on the motor, quoted as two separate terms.
2. Azenco, France and Florida

The best commercial terms published by anyone here. Fifteen years on structure and five on motors, stated separately, and the longest pair in the table. Louvers rotate through 0 to 160 degrees in a dual walled gapless section. Where it does not lead: the headline calls this a limited lifetime warranty while the terms say fifteen and five, and it sells through dealers only.
3. Solisysteme, Avanton, France

The other honest warranty split in the table: ten years on aluminium, three on parts and mechanisms. Founded 1998, now a Burgermeister brand, and it calls itself the French inventor of the bioclimatic pergola on its own front page. Origine France Garantie sits behind the manufacturing claim. What to verify: rotation appears as 145 degrees in some material and 160 in others, so get the figure for your exact model.
4. Renson, Waregem, Belgium

Publishes more performance data than anyone in this category and attaches the most conditions to it. Ten years on the pergola. Paint at ten years, falling to five within 500 metres of the coast. Colour and shine at five, reaching fifteen only if the client registers and buys the annual maintenance set, void in coastal and polluted areas and void on castings and mounting brackets. None of it is concealed. It is longer than your client will read, and you will be the one explaining it.
5. Amerimax, Norcross, Georgia

Equinox is the product line and Amerimax is the warrantor, which matters because your claim goes to Amerimax. The card gives ten years on louvers, beams, gutters and posts, and three years parts replacement only on power components, named as motor, solar panel, link bar and electronic controls. Batteries are excluded, cover is not transferable, steel is not warranted against rust, and claims must be written within 30 days of discovery. Dual cell louvers span to 14 feet and anything past 20 feet needs an intermediate post.
6. StruXure, Georgia and Nevada

The strongest dealer network in the United States, owned by AZEK since 2022, and the name most often written into American specifications. Its own material states louvers rotating up to 155 degrees where dealer pages say 170, so confirm which applies to your model. It publishes no warranty split and does no OEM work at all.
7. Gibus, Italy

Five years, stated. Short for this category, and still more than half the table offers. Strong contract and hospitality presence across Europe and a genuinely wide bioclimatic range. What to verify: whether those five years reach the drive, because the published figure does not say.
8. Brustor, Belgium

A serious manufacturer with real engineering range, including the B200 XL, the B600 S with a retractable louvered roof, and the B720 combining glass and louvers. A retractable louvered roof is a harder thing to build than a fixed one. The published detail stops at the product description, with nothing on coating, cover or terms.
9. Corradi, Italy

Long established, deep catalogue, sold through dealers and contract channels, with blades orientable by remote or by hand. What it does not publish: rotation range, coating specification, warranty split or load figures in any form a specifier can quote. Strong on design language, thin on the numbers.
10. Louvretec, New Zealand

Sells its rotation figure openly, with the 180 Linear opening through a full 180 degrees, matching the widest range in this table. Last here only because licensed fabrication means the entity honouring a claim differs by market, so establish who that is before relying on it. On engineering alone it sits higher.
What other manufacturer rankings leave blank
Ranking criteria that are never filled in
Progolas lists engineering and performance data as its fourth criterion and then gives no wind or snow figure for any brand, including itself. It lists warranty as a criterion and gives no term for anyone. Pacific Pavers compares five brands on positioning alone, with no standard, no rating and no number.
Where the better rankings set the bar
Hansø is the exception worth reading. It cites the Aluminum Design Manual for temper strength, publishes finite element output with deflection against allowable, and links warranty documents as separate files. That is the standard of evidence worth asking any supplier to meet.
The louvered roof figure almost nobody publishes
Drainage throughput. A closed louvered roof drains, it does not seal, so litres per second per square metre is the number that decides what happens in heavy rain. Renson publishes it. alux publishes 0.02 to 0.04. Most of this list does not mention that the question exists.
What to establish before your first factory order
Get the warranty as a document, not a number
Ask for the card or the certificate, not the figure on the product page, and read the exclusions first. Coastal sites, cast parts, batteries and transferability all live in the exclusions.
Get the motor and electronics term separately
Two to five years is the norm and it is the term that gets used. If a supplier will not commit to one in writing, price a spare drive into your own contingency and say so in your quotation. A manual system removes the component entirely, which is worth costing for stock lines that sit in a yard.
Get the louvre clear span at your load case
Rotation is published far more often than span, and span decides whether your client gets a post in the middle of the terrace.
After the first order: warranty, spares and claims
Who settles a warranty claim in your market
Establish whether the obligation sits with the factory, the importer or you. A fifteen year structural term is worth whatever the entity honouring it is worth in year fifteen, and a non-transferable term ends the day your client sells the house. For imported systems, get the answer before the first container, not after the first failure.
Spare drives, control boards and obsolescence
Structures outlast electronics by decades, so the question that matters is how long a compatible drive and control board stay available. Electronics get discontinued faster than anything mechanical. Ask for a support period in writing and prefer a supplier who names one over a supplier who calls the product maintenance free.
Choosing a louvered pergola supplier
If you are building an OEM catalogue
One entry here will put your name on the product at a minimum of one set, which lets you sample before committing a container. Read that as a disclosure as much as a recommendation.
If you are specifying a pergola for a named project
Azenco and Renson carry documentation a specifier can cite, and StruXure carries the certification most often requested in the United States. Expect the commercial terms to be thinner than the performance data suggests, and put the electrical figure into the specification yourself.
If you are buying one louvered roof
Ignore this page and read a consumer comparison. The criteria here are the wrong ones for a single purchase, and the honest thing a manufacturer can tell a homeowner is to go and read someone else.
Louvered pergola manufacturer FAQ
Do I need CE, UKCA or ICC approval to sell louvered pergolas in my market?
It depends entirely on where you sell, and the three are not interchangeable. CE and UKCA are market-access marks for the European Union and the United Kingdom, covering the electrical side under EMC, LVD and BS EN 60335. ICC evaluation reports serve United States building officials. A supplier holding one of the three does not hold the others, so ask which marks come with the product and which you would have to obtain yourself.
Will a European or Chinese test report be accepted by a United States building authority?
Usually not on its own. CE marking carries no legal standing with an American building department, and a TUV structural report is evidence, not approval. What a plan reviewer wants is calculations stamped by an engineer licensed in that state, referenced to the local code and wind speed. Treat any factory test report as an input to that process, not a substitute for it. This applies to our own reports as much as to anyone else’s in the table.
What is the difference between ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and amfori BSCI?
They audit different things and buyers regularly conflate them. ISO 9001 covers quality management processes. ISO 45001 covers occupational health and safety. amfori BSCI is a social compliance audit of working conditions, which large retailers increasingly require before they will open an account. None of the three says anything about how the product performs, and a supplier quoting them as proof of quality is answering a different question from the one you asked.
How much shipping time should I add to the quoted lead time?
Production and freight are separate clocks and quotes often show only the first. Sea freight from China to the United States west coast commonly runs three to four weeks. To the east coast or northern Europe it is five to seven, plus customs clearance and inland haulage at the far end. Ask for the lead time and the incoterm together, because a figure quoted EXW ends at the factory gate.
Can I mix sizes or models in one container?
With a factory-direct supplier, normally yes, and it is one of the practical reasons to buy from one. Loading is what actually costs money, so the question to ask is how many mixed sets fit, not how many of one size. Dealer-network brands cannot answer this at all, because they do not sell you containers.
What happens if units arrive damaged or out of specification?
Agree the answer before the first order, not after it. Establish who inspects, at which point title passes, what evidence a claim needs, and whether replacement parts ship free or against a new order. Marine insurance covers transit damage and a manufacturing defect is a different claim under the warranty, so make sure your contract distinguishes them.
